That is why we have created a Private Group Martial Arts & Fitness Retreat. A Program that caters to professionals with real challenges, to give them a chance to escape the 9-5 environment and get away to a martial arts & fitness resort in Thailand in order to relax, and to actively train in a private group setting with the Master Instructor, while taking a holistic approach toward creating balance in mind, body and spirit. We believe in a working with a personalized approach for each individual while working together with the other participants to learn the techniques, tactics, mindset and body movement. This will enable you to progress the fastest and get the most value out of your time.


Rick Tew’s Private Group Martial Arts & Fitness Retreat is a well-rounded program for women and men, where you can exercise daily habits into becoming a natural way of life. Learn Martial Arts, eat healthy, work out every day and develop personal skills to realize fulfillment and the power to execute upon your goals. This private group Mind, Body, and Spirit training program is created by Master Instructor Rick Tew. No matter who you are, where you come from, how old you are or what your skill level is, this program will leave you with an improved level of fitness, a healthier lifestyle and more self-confidence.

You should come to get away from it all and focus on you. Sounds selfish but in order to be the best you can be for others, you need to take time out for yourself and sharpen your sword. Our program offers a well-rounded opportunity for you to take control and focus on improving your mind, body, and spirit. We don’t hold your hand through the whole process, so you will be expected to develop or use self-discipline along the way. However, we do help and provide the environment for you to get some time to breathe new life back into your dreams.

You get to train, learn and communicate with the Master Instructor while getting private attention and focus. Mr. Tew has lived and taught all over the world and has a diverse background with many experiences that can help you manage yours.

A typical daily class will be 2 – 3 hours long. You will receive 3 – 5 of such classes by Master Instructor Rick Tew per week. Additional classes may be taught by assistant instructors or higher ranked members in our system. Clients will get training that they need to focus on and master each week. Remember, self-power is required at this experience as well as in life. Although we are here to teach, it is up to you to wake up and get to the class. We will not hold your hand or constantly be telling you what to do. Your success in this program is up to you and only you. We provide the tools, guidance, motivation and we will be there to push you – but you need to be pushing too!

Saturday and Sunday are reserved for the clients as off days. They can rest after a long week of training and adventure. The weekend is also used to organize personal needs. Most clients will spend their time relaxing and preparing for the next week, however, it is still possible to train and practice what you have learned so far. Unless you have organized a Weekend Trip of course!


Rick Tew is an internationally acclaimed Sensei or teacher in the martial arts. Training camps are located on the tropical island of Ko Samui in Thailand. It is located five minutes walking to the beach. The retreat has two dojo’s with soft mat floors and training & fitness equipment. One is indoor with large mirrors and air conditioning, and the other is outdoor and fan cooled. Other than that, there are several grass training areas. There is an outdoor swimming pool, and several indoor & outdoor relax and lounge areas. Plus a kitchen. And there is free WiFi. In the vicinity there are many restaurants, shops and other services. The beach retreat is a short moped ride to Lamai Beach for more options and nightlife.



Ko Samui is an island off the east coast of the Kra Isthmus, Thailand. It is Thailand’s third largest island, with an area of 228.7 square kilometers and a population of over 50,000 (2008). It is rich with natural resources, white sandy beaches, coral reefs and coconut trees. It is the most significant island in the Chumphon Archipelago. The island is surrounded by about sixty other islands, which together compose the Ang Thong Marine National Park (Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park) and include many other popular tourist destinations, including, Ko Pha Ngan, Ko Tao, and Ko Nang Yuan.

The main training areas for this program are the indoor and the outdoor dojo. Each dojo has soft floors and training gear like punching bags and pads. In addition, the indoor dojo has mirrors and the outdoor dojo has fitness equipment like kettlebells.

Throughout the facilities you will find several areas that are equipped as a personal training area for training, fitness, yoga, stretching, meditation, reading, socializing or just relaxing in a hammock. We also train in open air locations to provide your body and cells with more oxygen.

We also venture out to the nearby beach for specific training and meditation sessions.
